Life is going on...
Life is going on, Mike is in school and I have gotten a new job were I work from 9-6pm everyday and I love it. I am working at one of my old jobs, it's so nice to be back! I love it here. Michael is still in school and working. He is the most amazing person ever! He works so hard! He's almost done with school and then he will be going back to school in the fall to finish up his degree at weber state. He has a lot of schooling left but I know that he can do it! He works hard!
So I thought that I should probably post and let everyone know how things are going. The salon is pretty much finished and all we have to do is finish the trim work. So that means that it's ok to use! I have been usuing it for a while and oh man can I tell you how much I love having a shampoo bowl! It's so nice not having to wash people hair out in the sink.
I have been pretty steady with hair and nails so things are picking up and I appreciate all of my clients and my future clients for all of your support. I did however get a full time job so this means that I am only able to appointments after 6pm week days and all day on saturdays. This makes for long weeks but I do it because I love doing what I do.
If you have any suggestions you can e-mail me at Hairandnailsbyjulia@gmail.com. I have been slacking on the picks and I'm going to try and combine my hair and nail blogs so when I have a little more time I will get on that and then I will post more pictures and put up pictures of the salon.
Well for now have a great day and I'll hopefully post again soon. :D

Hey everyone, Sorry it's been a while. Well for the most part we haven't had anything new or exciting happen since I last posted. But for those of you who don't know Mike is in the Police acadamy and they have PT about two to three times a week. Well on saturday he was playing B-Ball and he went up for a block and he came down on the other guys foot. Bummer, Welp he now has a grade 2 Sprain. So the doctor gave him an air cast and said NO PT for 2 weeks, and when the 2 weeks is up he can start walking.... geez he's not messing aroung. He's gotta start slowly.
Also Mike has been testing with ogden city and he finished testing with them and he ranked number 19. That's awesome for the first time! Way to go babe!! I Love you!
Ok so there is that and I don't think that anything is new other then that.

Ok, so here's what I was talking about. Our stressful day. My dad came over on friday morning to help us finish the mudding and stuff well he noticed that by the window, the paint and tape was bubbled up. I thought it was probably the dishwasher because we'd already had that leak once. So why not again right?
Well my dad finished what he needed to and he came back saturday afternoon to sand. I went down there with him to get a look at things and much to our suprise we were looking at where he said the he saw the bubbles. Mike said that it looked like it was wet. He felt it and it was wet! Oh great!
So we were wondering if it was the washer, we went and checked the washer and no water! So we checked underneath the sink, No water. Well crap what now? Cut the sheetrock? Yup that's what we did. One square got cut right above the leak and there were the hot and cold water pipes. They weren't wet. But my dad could feel where the water was and it wasn't coming from above, it was coming from a side.
He had the hunch that the leak was coming from the drain. More cutting the sheetrock? Yes that's what happened. So now we have a hole in the ceiling. BOO!! ha ha well when we cut the last square we found where the water was remotely coming from but not the source. We found that the pipe where the water had been leaking down was kinda moldy. GROSS!!! I'm discusted now. So we go back upstairs and look where the pipe goes.
Come to find out it goes behind the lazy susan. Oy!! So we had to take the lazy susan apart. The fun that was! So now we have the lazy susan apart all over our kitchen. Fun stuff. My dad had to cut a little bit of the sheetrock away from the pipe so that he could feel around it and see if he could find a leak anywhere.
much to our suprise he found a four inch crack in the pipe, and another one around the back that you obviously couldn't see. This is FANTASTIC news!! I'm jumping for joy! NOT! We have to replace a pipe now! I'm not excited at all!
So we were going to go to lowes and get the stuff to do it but we figured we have a warrenty on our house for a year and I can't tell you how much it has saved our rear ends! Needless to say we're extending the warrenty before it ends. So we put a claim into the warrenty place and they are sending someone out to fix it either monday or tuesday.
Our kitchen is a mess and it's is annoying me. We can't use our kitchen sink or our dishwasher because the dain is cracked so it would just make the matter worse. It is very inconvinient for us. But all I have to say is it's a good thing that I don't cook. Ha ha.
So that was our fun saturday afternoon! Here's some advice for future home owners: purchase a warrenty on your house before you buy it, it saves you so much money!
